Uarpie credit

One prepaid balance for use above a paid plan and for busy hours. Any amount from $5 to $1,000. It never expires, and unused credit you bought is refunded if you ask.

2 minutes to read

Uarpie credit is money you add to your account in advance. On a paid plan it pays for what your plan does not include, as it happens. Nothing is ever billed afterwards.

What it pays for

  • Use above your plan. When your apps go past what your plan includes in a month: $0.02 a build minute, $0.50 for 100,000 requests, and $0.15 a GB-hour of app running time.
  • Busy hours. 1.2 cents for each copy of an app kept awake for an hour, and 12 cents an hour to keep its database awake.

It does not pay for files or translated pages. Past your plan, new uploads wait until there is room, and translations wait for the next month.

Adding credit

On the billing page, press Top up. Choose any whole-dollar amount from $5 to $1,000, then pay on Stripe's page. Your card is entered there, never on Uarpie. The credit is added the moment the payment goes through.

Where your country charges sales tax or VAT, it is added at checkout, on top of the credit. In the UK, $10 of credit costs $12.

Only the account's owner can add credit. An AI cannot, and should never ask for card details.

  • It never expires.
  • Unused credit you bought is refunded if you ask. Write to us and we return it to the card it came from.

The spending limit

Your spending limit is the most of your credit that use above your plan can take in a month. It starts at $10 on Personal, $30 on Family and $100 on Community, and you can set it up to ten times that. It cannot be taken off. It stops one busy month, or one app gone wrong, from using up a large balance.

When it runs out

Your apps pause when the credit runs out, or when the month's use above your plan reaches your spending limit. Nothing is deleted. They come back at the start of the next month, or straight away when you add credit or raise the limit.

With no credit at all, a paid plan works as it always has: your apps pause when the plan's requests or running time are used up, and new builds wait once its build minutes are.

Something that can only be paid from credit, such as turning on busy hours, is refused while there is none, with CREDIT_NEEDED.

On Free

Free has no use above the plan and no busy hours: it stops at its allowance instead. To go past it, choose a paid plan.

Where to see it

The billing page shows your credit, this month's use above your plan, and your limit. Uarpie credit, in the menu under your name, shows every top-up and, month by month, what your apps used.
